Internship Overview

As a Node.js Development Intern, you’ll work closely with our senior engineers to support backend development, learn best practices in system architecture, and contribute to real-world projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to accelerate your growth, deepen your technical skills, and build your professional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Node.js applications and microservices
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver features
• Participate in code reviews and learn to enforce coding standards
• Help optimize existing code for performance, security, and reliability
• Write and execute basic unit tests under guidance
• Document your work and share learnings with the team

What You’ll Learn

• Core concepts of JavaScript (ES6+) and the Node.js ecosystem
• Building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Working with Express.js (or similar frameworks)
• Database fundamentals (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Version control with Git and introductory CI/CD workflows
• Modern DevOps practices and automation basics
• Effective debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals and asynchronous programming
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS)
• Eagerness to learn, strong problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to commit to a minimum 3-month internship, 6 days per week

Preferred (but not required)

• Exposure to front-end libraries/frameworks like React or Vue
• Experience (even small projects) with Docker or cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Interest in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit tests
• Prior collaborative project experience (e.g., open-source contributions or team assignments)
