Internship Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience with real-world antivirus software projects. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to ClamAV, a leading open-source antivirus engine maintained by Cisco-Talos. You will sharpen your coding skills, learn open-source collaboration, and dive into the world of cybersecurity while working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Explore and contribute to the ClamAV GitHub project

• Identify, fix, and document bugs

• Research malware signatures and detection methods

• Write clean, maintainable code (primarily C and C++)

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

• Collaborate effectively with a remote team

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of C and/or C++ programming

• Familiarity with Git and GitHub

• Interest in cybersecurity and antivirus technologies

• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation

• Ability to communicate clearly in a remote environment

Preferred Skills

• Open-source project experience

• Linux OS familiarity

• Basic understanding of malware behaviors and antivirus scanning techniques
