Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior NodeJS Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will lead backend development efforts, architect scalable systems, mentor junior developers, and ensure best practices in coding and system design. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our products and delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable NodeJS applications and microservices.
  • Architect and implement backend systems with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers.
  • Review and optimize existing code for better performance and maintainability.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards across the team.
  • Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, testing, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Stay current with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and trends.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience with NodeJS development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and strong knowledge of NodeJS ecosystem.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
  • Solid understanding of Express.js or similar backend frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and version control best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Vue, HTML, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with GraphQL or WebSocket implementations.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Experience with unit testing and TDD (Test-Driven Development).
