We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a minimum of 10 years of experience as CTO in SaaS companies, with a proven track record of leading teams of 100+ engineers across multiple product lines. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who combines deep technical expertise with the strategic insight required to design, scale, and secure enterprise-grade SaaS products that deliver global impact.

Key Responsibilities

The CTO will define and execute Avian’s long-term technology vision, driving innovation across multiple SaaS product lines while ensuring enterprise-level scalability, security, and performance. They will lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization of over 100 professionals, establish a high-impact engineering culture focused on accountability, innovation, and technical excellence, and design multi-tenant cloud architectures leveraging microservices, containerization, and automation frameworks. The CTO will oversee the end-to-end software lifecycle — from concept to deployment — across all SaaS platforms, integrating best-in-class DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible. They will ensure strict compliance with global standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 while maintaining robust encryption, data privacy, and incident response systems. The role includes partnering with product and business teams to align technical initiatives with strategic goals, introducing AI-driven automation and data intelligence to optimize performance and operations, managing R&D programs to foster innovation, building scalable frameworks for multi-currency billing and cross-border infrastructure, and implementing governance structures that sustain both velocity and reliability. Above all, the CTO will serve as the company’s technological architect and leadership force — responsible for maintaining Avian’s competitive edge, elevating system design standards, and shaping the next generation of SaaS products that define the company’s global trajectory.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as CTO in a SaaS company, leading teams of 100+ engineers.

• Proven ability to architect, scale, and optimize large-scale SaaS platforms serving enterprise clients.

• Deep technical expertise in SaaS architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native design.

• Strong proficiency in PHP, Node.js, Python, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Extensive experience in DevOps automation, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.

• Mastery of data security, encryption standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance innovation and execution.

• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of both technology and business growth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-product SaaS organizations with global deployments.

• Strong background in AI, machine learning, and automation technologies.

• Knowledge of billing automation, payment integration, and cross-border compliance.

• Prior experience driving R&D and transformation projects at scale.

• MBA or executive education in technology management or strategy.
